One night about two weeks ago, I went in to tuck Ella Grace in bed. She was holding a piece of paper, with monster trucks colored on it. I asked what she was doing and said, so nonchalantly, that she was just looking at this picture that Gavin had made for her.
And she reminded me that she was going to marry him.
This morning, I was comparing the kids' height to my own and showing them how much they needed to grow to "catch up" with me. Major told Ella Grace that pretty soon he was going to be taller than her. I reassured her that "You might me short like me and Grandmother. But, that's okay, you can just marry a tall man one day."
Her reply - "I'm going to marry Gavin."
Okay. At least it is settled!
Amber, will you just make sure Gavin is still up for this?
