I am still here - summer school is winding down, and so is my time to complete all of my assignments. I did complete one course last week (with a whopping 97), but am working steadily on the other two. Yes, it is nearly midnight, and while I am typing I am also listening to a presentation and taking some awesome notes! I have already completed my portion for a presentation tomorrow and sent that out to my group. Lofty ambitions, but my goal is to have it all turned in by Friday night. We are getting to go on a much-needed, much anticipated trip to the beach and I CANNOT wait!
Jeremy attended a school for a part of the week, so I have been here with the babes. Ella Grace is going through a cycle of not wanting to go to bed. Tonight she got up one time and had to tell me just one thing. She sweetly said, "Momma, I just love you with all of your heart..." in her sleepy little voice. I told her I loved her, too, but that she HAD to go to bed. I explained that we had to pack tomorrow for our trip and do several other things. I also told her I had to finish all of my homework so we could play on vacation and I wouldn't have to do any homework. I told her we would do all sorts of things - swim, play in the sand. That's when she chimed in "And pick up seashells." I asked how she knew about seashells (thinking she was about to say Nana told her they would pick some up). Nope. Not Ella Grace. And not Nana.
"Max and Rubies" she confidently replied. Max and Ruby, for those that may be unfamiliar, is a cartoon. My child, my child!
Good night!

My Babies are Home
Jeremy and the kids returned home last night from an extended stay with my parents. They were able to play outside quite a bit I believe, Jeremy and my dad went diving and Mom even took the kids to visit a little lady Mom has been spending time with at anursing home.
Oh, to see the excitement of their little faces when they saw me coming out to the car to get them! I love it! They just loved on me and I really knew they missed me. After bed time, Ella Grace got up a couple times. The final time she called "Mom!" from her room. She was sitting in bed when I got there and I asked her what she needed, as I sat down on the edge of her bed. She wrapped one tiny arm around my waist and some "I love you. I love you. I love you so much." And then she layed her tired head down again. Bless her!
Thank you Jesus for my precious kids and their loving hearts!

4th of July Cookout - School
Favorite Book Character Day
Ella Grace's fun days at school continue. Last week she had Favorite Book Character Day. She & I had talked about it and decided on Cinderella. I probably had more influence in the decision than she largely because I knew she had an outfit from her birthday (yes, in January) that I saved for an occassion such as this. So, the night before I asked her who she was going to dress up as and she surprised me by saying "Lori." As in my sister Lori...and what book has she appeared in?! A little later I asked if she was going to be Lori. Ella Grace said "or Cinderella. Or Pop!" What! Of course at this point I had to make a phone call. I definitely had a good laugh through all this. Here is a picture of my little princess and her BFF Kylie.
Major had hat day the same day. No stories to tell on that, it was a pretty easy decision!
