Movies, again!

Two days of the movies in a row! Whew! If I could afford the popcorn at the movies, I might have some sort of butter high by now. But, since it is completely out of my budget, we don't have to worry about that.

Tuesday we went to the movies with the wife of one of Jeremy's co-worker's (does that make sense?) and her two kids, Brayden and Keelie (we actually know two Keelie's now!). We saw Shrek Forever After with them.

Yesterday, we were back for a second movie. We saw Muppets Take Manhattan. Ella Grace's friend Amy met us there and went with us, while Amy's sister Hannah went to the other movie showing with her mom. Amy was excited to have some independence, her mom said. I know my Ella Grace was super excited to have a friend do something with her!

Major was restless, but the girls were good. I think we will be sitting next week out!

You brush your teeth...

Ella Grace and Major had a dentist visit yesterday. They both did super-great! They both wanted to go first, but Major ended up in the chair first. The hygienist offered him a pair of shades which he grabbed up quickly! ha!

They came away with toothbrushes, "timers", floss, and a treasure!

Keep those sugar bugs away!

Good Times

'Twas the night before we left the hotel:

And we learned words on flash cards;

'Twas the afternoon we got home:

And we ate barbeque out;

'Twas Saturday morning:

And this boy got a long overdue haircut;

And we followed it up with Cars 2 at the theatre!

This morning we went to church and lunch out. Now, Sleeping Beauty and popcorn together!

A short trip

The kiddos and I headed down to Miami this past Monday while Jeremy worked. Jeremy went in to the office for a couple of hours and we hit the road as soon as he got home. It was about a four hour drive, and we made good time (having lunch in the car helps!). We checked-in, unpacked and it didn't take long for us to head back out.

We were really wanting to go to a Marlins game, and despite the rain, decided to give it a shot. It took us a while to finally decide on something for dinner (it ended up being Chick-fil-a!, and Kids Night which meant free kids food!), and then after about a 2-hour rain delay, we watched (part) of a ball game!

We were tired when we finally got back to the hotel Monday night.

Tuesday, as Daddy headed off to work, we headed out to the mall to try our hand at some bowling! Mrs. Kelly met us for lunch at Johnny Rockets first, and then went with us to the bowling alley. After stopping in at a few stores at Dolphin Mall, back to the hotel we went. Just as I laid the kids down for naps, Daddy got back.

On the way to dinner, the kids said they weren't tired.

We had dinner in Miami Beach with Mrs. Kelly and Mr. Keith. Seafood for the adults, chicken and mac & cheese for the children.

Wednesday was another SUPER busy, SUPER hot day. Again, Daddy off to work, so the kids and I headed to the Zoo. OH.MY.GOSH. The Miami Zoo is super huge and I totally did not realize that. I suppose the monorail and the safari cycles should have tipped me off, right?

BUT, we FINALLY got to see elephants! Yes, it has taken my kids 5 years and 3 years before they ever saw live elephants!

Daddy got home just after we did and we all went to the pool for about two hours. One of Jeremy's co-workers went to grab pizza with us for dinner, which was fun. He said our kids were well-behaved, but I reminded him I had completely worn them out at the zoo. Glad he didn't see them on a normal day! :) kidding. They are usually pretty good!

Yesterday morning we swam a little more while Daddy was finishing up. He helped us pack up the room and car and off we went home. Luckily, Mr. Keith was in front of us and called to warn us of the fires that had the interstate shut down. After about a 40 min detour, we were back on our way.

Home, sweet Home!

5 on Friday

Hey!
Just checkin' in for a list of my top five for the week. It's been a whirlwind of a week, but I'll catch up soon enough!
1. I love that Ella Grace was able to participate in VBS this year. (Each time I called it Bible school, she corrected me. I had to explain what the acronym actually meant!) She had a great time, and will be particiapting in the program tonight! Yeah! And she loves being on stage! ha!

2. I had a great week with Major. We were able to spend a little time together each morning. I love the way he talks and jabbers - hilarious! He told me just a bit ago that "some people keep their peanut butter in the refrigerator!" I asked who and he said with the biggest shrug "I don't know. Strangers." That kid!

3. Jeremy may be taking a trip soon, and we may tag a long! Whoo-Hoo!

4. Hooray for Father's Day! I love my Dad so much, and Jeremy is an awesome Dad to our two rug-rats (no, they aren't really rug rats anymore, but we still call them that some!)

5. I have slacked on the Y this week, and I miss that. But, I'll get back on it. I was running 3.88 miles last week, and backed down to about 2.9 when I went this week so I could get Major and spend some time with him before we picked up Ella Grace. Hooray for physical fitness. ha! ha!

Enjoy the weekend. I am going to pick a tomato!

Before the Chapel

It's our anniversary week!!

To celebrate this special occasion, let's take a little peak back to 2003.

I was 21 and in my last semester at UA; Jeremy was 23 and working at TPD already.

We were getting married June 7, 2003.

Our engagement pictures were taken in Cullman, Alabama on a beautiful spring day!

And, let me wish my sweet, sweet friend Aishlea a happy anniversary week, too!
