Animals!
Jeremy & I surprised the kids Saturday with a trip to the Zoo! We were there when it opened at nine. Pop met us there and we had a long, hot, wonderful day seeing animals, riding the carousel, playing in foam and getting completely worn out! Here are a few pictures from our adventure:

Safely back at home
Jeremy & I had a great trip to ATL, but were so glad to get back home and back with our babies! We got to our hotel just fine on Friday and started making our way the 25 miles to the wedding. It took us over an hour to get almost there. We had to stop and eat something before we could continue on our way. The wedding was beautiful and simple. Donna & Brad are so cute together and the girls were just precious. We were able to stay and visit before heading back to the hotel close to midnight.
Saturday morning Jeremy worked out while I finished up some assignments for one of my summer classes, then we went shopping (I know, I know. Hard to believe!). We ate some awesome Greek food for lunch and had to continue shopping to burn some cash...I mean calories. We returned to the hotel to rest after a long day, but soon headed back out for more FOOD. We had heard about a local restaurant famous for their chocolate pie, so off we went! We found it, AND a full stomach. Jeremy & I shared a plate full of fried chicken, some cheese grits and green beans. And the (dark) chocolate pie was huge!
Jeremy & I intended to sleep in some Sunday morning before heading back to pick up the babies and get home. However, our sleep was interrupted early Sunday morning when we heard splashing water. Jeremy jumped up and ran to the bathroom where he found water falling from the light fixture! He called the front desk, we packed up most of our things, took them to the car and got ready in a second room.
It was so good to see Ella Grace and Major, and I think they were pretty excited to see us, too. We were even home and unpacked in time to make it to church for Puggles!

We're Going on a Trip!
Jeremy & I are going on a trip this weekend to ATL. One of my friend's from college is getting married Friday night. Ella Grace & Major are going to be able to spend the weekend with Grandmother and Grandaddy. Ella Grace, Major and I were eating last night while Jeremy was mowing the lawn and we were discussing her "fun" days at school. I told her that Friday was "Favorite Book Day", but she was not going to be there for it, she would be at Grandmother's. Then, I told her we were actually going to go up on Thursday (you know this is going to be funny, right?), I would pick her up from school and then we would leave. She said "Is Daddy going, too?" I said yes, and she said "He sure is a good man." What? Ella Grace - "a good man"? It's your Daddy!
So, anyway, back to our trip...we are planning to be in Atlanta for a couple of nights and just hang out, explore, finish up some school work...We are excited, looking forward to seeing my friend Donna, and having some Mommy/Daddy time.

P~A~R~T~Y
This morning we traveled to Troy to celebrate the 2nd birthday of Austin, Jeremy's older brother's son. Yes, we got up really early, loaded up the kids and headed out. Austin had a pirate (pool) party. The kids really enjoyed swimming and playing all day long. Here are a couple pictures from the day:

Beautiful Prayers
Little Ella Grace loves to say some prayers. She blesses our food at dinner time (sometimes before anyone is even at the table) and says her bed time prayer after a Bible story. Lately, she has been praying for the weather. It goes something like this:
Dear God (smack), thank you for Daddy, Mommy, Major and Ella Grace. Thank you for my friends at school and for my teachers at school. Thank you for my friends at church and my teachers at church. God, please pray for this weather that it's not so bad in the morning. No thunder and no lightening God. Okay? I love you God, Amen.
Ella Grace will ask God to help Major mind, or not cry, pray for all of our grandparents. Thank Him for swim days at school or getting to play outside. She does such a great job. One morning last week she said "Momma! We forgot to say a prayer. Say 'Thank you God for savin' our sin from dyin'.'" So, I said a prayer, but I thanked Him for dying to save us from our sin.
This has nothing to do with praying, but I had to share. Yesterday Ella Grace had hat day at school. Her friend Kylie wore an oversized pink cowgirl hat. Ella Grace was explaining it to Daddy at dinner and told him about the feathers around the brim and that the hat lit up. She said "It was unnecessary." It was all I could do to stay in my seat. Jeremy explained that it might have been necessary for Kylie, with a straight face. She is so funny! Not much for flashy things, I suppose.
