Today we enjoyed doing something we had never done before - picking blueberries! I encouraged the kiddos to wear tennis shoes because I just knew the ground would be kind of messy. Ella Grace for some reason didn't and Major kept complaining that one of his shoes was hurting his foot. I told him he could just wear his Crocs and I took them to him in the car to put on (he already had on socks and one tennis shoe). We jumped in the car and off we went! The blueberry patch was only about 10 minutes from our home, and we met Amy and little Caitlyn there.
Everyone unloaded and Major was first attracted to the oranges on the tree. Of course, we hadn't been that close to orange trees yet and he was all over them - picking them off the ground and off the trees.

We "checked in", were given a pail and sent on our merry way to pick.

We had not been picking long, when I looked at my precious little son...and his feet.

I mean really, son? (in case you can't see, he is wearing one blue croc and one tennis shoe -or blue-headed shoe as he still calls them!). Oh, well! What can you do at that point?!

Ella Grace found some huge blueberries!

After about 35 minutes, Major had had enough. He was thirsty and headed to find his water!

Ella Grace continued to watch over Caitlyn, fast friends!

After leaving the first adventure, we went back to Amy's for lunch and a little playtime.

Then, we went to the "Y" for some exercise!
The Jordan kids were worn out this evening...maybe we should pick blueberries more often?!

Looks like fun! And isn't that just like a guy....not even noticing different shoes?! :)
