One item on Ella Grace's Christmas wish-list was a Bible. I mentioned in a previous post she told Santa and he even said he had a black Bible! I don't think all 4 year olds request Bibles for Christmas, but this did not surprise me about Ella Grace. For the last few months she has been in love with the Bible she received during her baby dedication, a little pink New Testament.

Of course, Santa fulfilled this special request; but, only with a perfect pink Princess Bible complete with rhinestones on the cover. I can already tell how much she is in love with this little Bible, her first. Earlier this week she mentioned she wanted to go in to "big church" with me on Wednesday, fitting because now she has a "big Bible." Then, Wednesday night at home she said made the same request. Major even said he wouldn't cry if we both went to "big church." So, that we did. He went to class solo and she came with me.

Ella Grace had even taken the liberty on Monday or Tuesday evening to get a piece of copy paper and cut it into small strips. This was then used as "marks" throughout her Bible to mark the pages. These little strips continued to fall out through church, but she was so, so proud and I didn't mind a bit.

Father, help me treasure your Word like my little Princess!
