Day by day

You know, we have been so busy, but at the same time I don't know what we have been doing lately! We stay busy with church - a Friday night kids movie night one week, a parenting class on a Sunday afternoon, having a meal out here and there, taking the kids to school and picking them up, workouts at the Y. Things are picking up with the kids school, though. Ella Grace has homework Tuesday nights - Thursday nights. She will be going on a field trip at the end of the month. Major has a "farm day" in a couple of weeks, which will be hosted at his school and different activities/centers stationed around. Both will be fun and I am so glad that I can help if needed!
Fall here is so different than in Alabama. I think fall is the new spring, as in the weather. Our crepe myrtles bloomed late last week, pretty neat. The weather here is very enjoyable - windows down, sit outside and watch the kids ride bicycles, we even had dinner on the lanai this evening.
Major is still just smitten with his friend Alana. Friday night while brushing his teeth, just out of the blue he said "I love Alana." I said "you do?". Then he went on to say "I kissed her the other day. (Wasn't expecting that!) "Where?" I asked. Oh, Major said "on the leg." I can totally see him sitting there at circle time next to her and he just leans right over and plants one on her knee. He is just so affectionate like that. Major will come up to me and just start giving me these little kisses on my leg, or on my foot if I am sitting on the couch. I love my little man.
We have had a little trouble with our irrigation lately - some little dry spots here and there. Hopefully it will be resolved soon, though. And, hopefully, (fingers crossed) we will be getting a little color on our walls (or at least some of them) before too much longer! yea!
Each day/week is different. We are/have settled in pretty nicely. I do miss this time of year in Tuscaloosa, though. There are no football jokes at church, the beating we put on Florida was GREAT and it was pretty funny that the Gators didn't show up for church...well, I guess they were there incognito. he! he! All in all, we couldn't have gotten in a better location.
