House Progress (Post 1)

We have been making big strides on getting prepared for the move. Our house was put on the market in late June. Jeremy and I made a trip to Florida the very first of July. While we were there we received the first offer on our house. After a very drawn out process, lots of frustration, and a bad real estate agent, our home did sell to the couple that made this initial offer. We closed on the house in September and moved into a rental house owned by a couple we go to church with. What a blessing it has been to have this home. It is perfect for the kids and me; not much of a yard to maintain, lots of people surrounding us (and friendly to make it even better!), closer in to work and school. Definitely another sign from God that we are in His will.

So, back to my story. In August we made another trip down to Florida and actually picked out a lot and have begun to build. What?! I know, I know. Very crazy.

Home Makeover! (part 1)

Yeah, after six years in our home we were ready for a facelift! The last half of Spring Break Jeremy & I spent painting the interior of the house. We painted our bedroom and bathroom, living room and Ella Grace's room, as well as the trim. Jeremy had painted the kids' bathroom before SB, we painted our kitchen the Friday night SB started, then he painted Major's room that Saturday night.

After all that was complete - our new floors came! Yippee! (As stressful and as hard as this is, it is SO exciting!)

As they guys were getting stuff from the garage and moving around I "sneaked" (as Major would say) and took a few pictures.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!

They did all of this yesterday and came back today and did the grout work. I'll take a picture of that later when I can actually get in the kitchen! They also did our bathroom yesterday/today. Since it is on the other side of the house I can't actually get to it to see what it looks like!We are scheduled to start the living room on Monday. Hooray!
