Snow was predicted for our part of the south to fall early this morning. Last night around 8:30 the kid's school called letting us know they had made the decision to cancel. I emailed by supervisor to let him know I would not be coming in, not expecting there to be any snow and a busy day at work that I should have prepared for before I left.
Jeremy woke up early this morning and peeped out the windows. Nothing. I woke later and checked again. Nothing.
When we finally rolled out of bed, we checked the weather and closings and work was CLOSED. Yea! No annual leave needs to be taken and no crazy, busy day that I would have felt sort of bad for missing.
Jeremy headed to work and the kids and I headed to a Valentine/Snow Day playdate (minus the snow. Well, there were some flurries.) We made a little Valentine craft, and then, since there was some snow accumulating on the ground, we bundled up and headed out.
The kiddos had a blast, as you can see!

Doesn't it taste good?

Major just lovin' how it feels on his face.

Major's turn to taste!

Playing in the snow made this little man hungry. He ate his two heart-shaped pb and j sandwiches, then a large heart-shaped sandwich, and then bargained with Ella Grace to swap some pineapple for another sandwich. Then, he said he was STILL hungry!

Thanks, Jamie, Ray and Jack for having us other. We had fun!!
