Oops!

Man! I cannot believe it has been almost a month since I have posted! I have been engrossed in that thing called Graduate School, working on a midterm that was very comps-like, and NOT enjoying it! But, now it is submitted and I feel okay. May not when I get my grade, but I worked as hard as I possibly could on it.

Now I get to look forward to comps. Not feeling okay about that.

Ella Grace, Major and Jeremy were really sick last week. Major got sick at church Sunday before last. Then really, really early Monday morning Ella Grace started running a fever. It was like on thing after another. Mom came down to help, and Jeremy stayed home from work. Jeremy went to work Tuesday, then got sick and was home the remainder of the week. The kids went to Mom and Dad's house on Wednesday, then Jeremy went Friday. That was planned so I could have plenty of time to study. I so missed them. Each time I called to talk to Major and Ella Grace and heard her sad little voice I just wanted to zoom up there and get her. I still have one of her messages on my voicemail at work, poor little thing.

Major is so funny. He has been sleeping on a mattress (opposed to the baby bed) since just before his birthday (August 28). It was like October 3 before he ever even got off of the bed by himself when he woke up! Wow! He would just wake up and call out for his mommy and stay put. This evening once we got home for church, took medicine and read our Bible story, we finally got them both in bed. Just a couple minutes later Major came to our door. Jeremy asked what he needed and my sweet little baby boy said "I want you." (That's his thing - if he wants to be held, if he is in trouble, he just "wants" you to hold him.) Jeremy just grinned (he tried to hide it) and picked him up. I think their grins matched, actually. Major was probably thinking "Sucker!" It was so cute. I'm pretty sure I saw Jeremy's heart melt. Loved it!

Well, off to transcribe an interview from Monday night.
