Late, I know.
BUT, we invited a couple of Major's little friends from school over to celebrate his birthday. After their soccer game we rushed to pick up a cake, get home and bathe those sweaty kids and prepare for the festivities.
It was a superhero party -
My kids typically do not eat cake. I was very surprised when he requested a cake. So, we did it and he ate it!
Yes, we let our friends come inside wearing that orange!
Pinning the badge on the superhero!
It was a fun day with friends!
Happy Birthday, Major!

Ella Grace's 6th birthday party!
We have never had "friend" parties for our kids' birthdays. We have been able to focus on our family (and some close friends/neighbors). This year, we let Ella Grace invite a couple of friends over for a small party. She had such a fabulous time, and the girls were all so good. It was fun to see them interact together outside of school! Bless their teachers' hearts!

Major had to show off his tumbling skills for the girls!
Isn't this a great picture of the girls!? I printed the pictures and put them in the frames for them to carry home.

Trying to blow out candles in the Florida sun. She insisted on having all 6 candles in her ice cream in her cup!

After much eating (honestly), they had just a few minutes to open gifts before the moms came.
More squinkies!
A sign from Masyn's sister! So sweet!

Room decoration from Aunt Lo-Lo
They were so funny to listen to - Ella Grace kept saying "C'mon girls," and "Girls, let's go." This time has come too soon!
This was certainly a special day for her. She couldn't wait until her friends arrived. Megan's mom said Megan was up at 6:00 am Sunday morning asking if it was time to go to Ella Grace's house! So cute!

Celebratin' Major
We had a lot of fun celebrating our little man's 4th birthday. We had previously had a party in Alabama at the first of August, but we couldn't let his birthday go by and not celebrate again! So, we celebrated on Saturday evening with our friends Beth & James. Mr. James even gave Major his very own disc golf frisbee!
Major had asked for cornhole for his birthday, and Mommy & Daddy pulled through and found it (whew!). So, we had a fun time playing that, too. Until Major realized he had a HELMET from Grandmother & Grandaddy. Then, he had to run around the yard playing some football. Later he said "I LOVE my helmet. We're going to have to practice." So right! I hope he loves some football (he does right now at least!).
On Sunday afternoon, our neighbors Mr. Daniel, Mrs. Courtney and their son Dylan came over. They have a little bounce house which they brought with them and we had our pool up - the kids had a big time!
Ms. Tammy and Miss Chelsea, some other neighbors, came over, too, and gave Major a bowling game. Lots of fun!
All in all, I think he had a fabulous 4th birthday!

her party
Saturday (1/15) was Ella Grace's 5th birthday party. Because of work, Daddy being able to fly in, and to make it all easier logistically, her party was at Pop and Nana's again this year.
The theme was "Hello Kitty" at her request.
While Aunt Lo-Lo was away with Ella Grace, Chef Major helped Nana in the kitchen whip up some hot fudge for our ice cream sundaes!

After our own little pizza party, we had gift time. I thought this was the sweetest picture of Ella Grace and Major.
