Funny story about that gift bag she is holding. Aunt Lo-Lo gave Ella Grace some candy and a lip gloss ring at Major's party. She loved the bag and just had to take it to school to give to her new teacher...empty! ha!

First Day of the New School Year
Ella Grace and Major started in their new classes at school yesterday. We had open house on Sunday afternoon and were able to take all of their things. I love that, it makes the first day a whole lot less chaotic and burdensome. I would certainly forget the most important things (like the nap mat!). My little Major is in a 3 year old class. His birthday is not until the end of the month, so he is definitely a young one in there. Ella Grace has moved to a different building and is in a 4 year old class. I am really glad they are separated. I think it will help Major as he becomes more independent and maybe Ella Grace won't know everything about his day and try to play momma!
He chose to lay down on the counter while we were rinsing the toothpaste out of his mouth and got in a big puddle of water! The *new* lunchbag was a birthday present from Aunt Lo-Lo.
My sweet, sweet Ella Grace! She is such a big girl!
This is by far my favorite picture. Major has his little arm around her.
He was done at this point!
I am so, so proud of Major. He ran right in to his class yesterday and sat down in his seat. No tears, no looking back! This is a HUGE accomplishment for him! He did it again today, too!
Ella Grace holding her things before we went in to her building.
Getting a nametag from Mrs. Nancy so all the teachers would know the childrens' names.
Ella Grace and her friend Kylie. They were together year before last and got to see each other some during this past school year. Ella Grace did say Kylie wasn't her friend because Kylie broke her "little girl bracelet" (a silly band in the shape of girl dancing).
Major at pick up. He really wanted to stay and play! I hope the newness doesn't wear off too quickly.
